Rockwall, TX Senior Photographer

Yesterday was sooo cold, and rainy, and slightly miserable, but you wouldn't know it from this senior because she looks stunning and totally braved the terrible weather for this amazing shoot. She's got such a great personality, which I think really comes through in these shots. I love the different expressions! Thanks girl for having me out, enjoy your shots!

Abby Girl, Fort Worth, TX Child Photographer

My baby niece (in-heart at least) is almost 8 months old! *Sob* It went by so quickly. She's got such a personality too. She's a screamer. Not, "Cry, Sob, Scream", but "Ahhhhhh, I'm so happy, look at me, ahhhhhh." It's ear-splitting, but so happy that it can't annoy you. Look back at her beautiful newborn photos to see how much she's grown. I love converting these flat lighting type shots to black and whites, so I'm sharing a bunch like that. I just love the light, airy feel they have. Love you guys, enjoy your beautiful daughter.

This is how she self soothes! Her "thumb suck" if you will. Two fingers in, other hand grip the cheek, and soothe. Soooooo sweet. I want to bite her .

Oh hello, Kiyah dear. When did you get so big? How did your hair get so long? When did you start speaking in complete sentences? When did you go and get all potty trained on me? It hasn't been that long since the last time we hung out.

Arlington, TX Newborn Photographer

What a pleasure it was to meet this family today. This little girl came a little early and a little tiny, and she's still the tiniest, sweetest thing you've ever seen. Pushing two months old, she likes to punch her fists like a boxer until you get her swaddled tight, then she'll settle and give you the cutest little tight-lipped expression. Love it. We gave sleeping shots one gallant effort, but she preferred to be wide awake and in the action. And you know, sometimes the wide awake shots are a million times better.

A bit of vintage processing on this one.

Just popping in. It's slow around here, although I've got some newborns coming up so never fear. I keep meaning to take Luke out and do a proper session with him, but he's just so daunting. He's almost two, quite uninterested in my camera, while quite set on defying me at most turns. Here is a precious moment of stillness from him. (Thank you stickers!)

I *love* eyelash shots. He didn't have much for the longest time, they were sort of turned in and hiding from me. Recently though they've gotten all long and beautiful. Swoon.

Hold your horses for the most stunning newborn you've ever seen. I love me some sleepy shots, but those eyes in the first photo are just so perfect. I couldn't decide if I liked it better in color or black & white, so I'm sharing both. Thanks for having me out today guys and thank you for your patience. I know it was a long day!

My Favorite Photos of 2009

I get asked a lot what my favorite subjects are to shoot, and it's hard to say. I love newborns, and 6 months olds, and seniors a lot! But every shoot is challenging in its own way and I've never done a shoot that I didn't love. I also get asked what my favorite shot is too. It's hard to pick just a few, and I could probably pick way more than this, but here are the few shots of the last year that I'm just totally in love with. I love them for different reasons. Some of them I'm particularly proud of as an artist, while some I just love because the expression or moment is just so precious. This is why I love what I do. Many of these have been posted on the blog in the past, but there are a few new ones too.
